Promethazine 25mg

Indication

Treatment of allergic conditions (allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema), nausea and vomiting, motion sickness, and as a preoperative sedative.

Ingredients

• Promethazine hydrochloride 25mg

Direction

Adults: Take 25mg orally once at night or 12.5mg 2–3 times daily. For motion sickness: take 25mg 30–60 minutes before travel. Follow physician instructions.

• Sedation
• Drowsiness
• Dry mouth
• Blurred vision
• Urinary retention
• Constipation
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare)

Precautions

• Causes significant sedation
• avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Contraindicated in children under 2 years due to risk of respiratory depression.
• Avoid in patients with narrow
• angle glaucoma
• prostatic hypertrophy
• or pyloroduodenal obstruction.
• Use with caution with CNS depressants and alcohol.
• Not recommended in patients with epilepsy.
