Indication
Treatment of intestinal parasitic infections including ascariasis (roundworm), enterobiasis (pinworm), trichuriasis (whipworm), hookworm infections, and mixed helminth infections.
Ingredients
- Mebendazole 500mg
Direction
Adults and children over 2 years: Take 500mg as a single dose for most helminth infections. For strongyloidiasis or mixed infections, follow physician guidance. Take with or without food.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Flatulence
- Elevated liver enzymes with high doses or prolonged use
Precautions
- Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy.
- Use with caution in children under 2 years.
- May interact with cimetidine
- metronidazole
- or anticonvulsants.
- Repeat treatment after 2–3 weeks if reinfection is possible.
