Zita 200 mg / 5 ml

Indication

Treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections including community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Azithromycin 200mg per 5ml (oral suspension)

Direction

Children: Dose based on body weight (typically 10mg/kg once daily for 3 days or as directed). Adults: 500mg on day 1, then 250mg once daily for 4 days. Shake suspension well. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

• hepatic dysfunction or QT prolongation

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
• May prolong QT interval
• use with caution in patients at risk for cardiac arrhythmias.
• Inform doctor of all medications being taken to check for interactions.
• Complete the full course of treatment.
