Indication
SALBUTIS 100 contains salbutamol, a selective beta-2 adrenergic bronchodilator used for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other conditions associated with reversible airway obstruction. Note: The listed dosage of 100 mg appears very high for a typical salbutamol oral tablet (standard: 2–4 mg). If this is an oral tablet form, clinical verification of the stated dosage is recommended.

- Salbutamol 100 mg
Direction
Oral tablets (standard dosing): Adults: 2–4 mg three to four times daily. Extended-release tablets: 4–8 mg twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 2 mg three to four times daily. Dose may be adjusted by a physician. Always follow the prescribing doctor's instructions.
Side effects
- Tremor (fine tremor of the hands).
- Palpitations or tachycardia.
- Headache.
- Muscle cramps.
- Nervousness or restlessness.
- Hypokalaemia with high doses.
- Nausea (rare).
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
- hypertension
- arrhythmias
- or hyperthyroidism.
- May cause hypokalaemia
- especially with high doses — monitor potassium levels.
- Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
- May cause paradoxical bronchospasm — discontinue and seek medical help if this occurs.
