Tiril Plus 500mg, 5mg, 5mg, 30mg

Indication

Tiril Plus is a combination preparation used for oro-dental and periodontal infections. Metronidazole and spiramycin provide antibacterial coverage against oral anaerobes and mixed flora; dexamethasone reduces inflammation; thiamine (B1) supports nerve function. Used in dental infections, periodontitis, and post-extraction infections.

Ingredients

• Metronidazole 500 mg
• Spiramycin 5 mg
• Dexamethasone 5 mg
• Thiamine (Vitamin B1) 30 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet three times daily for 5–7 days, or as prescribed by a dentist or physician. Take with food. Do not exceed the prescribed course.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting.
• Metallic taste (metronidazole).
• Diarrhoea.
• GI discomfort.
• Headache.
• Dizziness.

Precautions

• Avoid alcohol during and for 48 hours after metronidazole — disulfiram
• like reaction.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
• Dexamethasone component may mask signs of infection or cause systemic corticosteroid effects with prolonged use.
• Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Avoid in patients with hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics (spiramycin).
• May potentiate anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
• Keep out of reach of children.
