Medabon Combipack Mifepristone 200mg, Misoprostol 800mcg

Indication

Medabon Combipack (Mifepristone 200 mg + Misoprostol 800 mcg) is a combination used for medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy up to 9 weeks (63 days) of gestation. Mifepristone is an antiprogestogen; misoprostol is a prostaglandin E1 analogue. Use only under medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Mifepristone 200 mg
• Misoprostol 800 mcg (4 × 200 mcg tablets)

Direction

Day 1: Swallow 1 mifepristone 200 mg tablet orally in the presence of a healthcare provider. Day 3: Administer 4 misoprostol 200 mcg tablets (total 800 mcg) sublingually (under the tongue) or vaginally, as directed by the prescribing doctor. Follow-up appointment essential at 14 days after mifepristone to confirm complete termination. Use only under qualified medical supervision.

Side effects

• Uterine cramping and abdominal pain (expected effect).
• Vaginal bleeding (expected effect — may be heavy).
• Nausea and vomiting.
• Diarrhoea.
• Fever and chills (especially with sublingual misoprostol).

Precautions
