Candid Ear Drops 15ml

Indication

Candid Ear Drops contain clotrimazole, an antifungal agent used for the treatment of otomycosis (fungal infection of the external ear canal) caused by susceptible fungi including Aspergillus and Candida species.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 1% (10 mg/ml)

Direction

Adults and children: Instil 3–4 drops into the affected ear 3 times daily for 14–28 days. Ensure the drops reach the ear canal; gently tug on the ear lobe to help the drops flow in. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after clinical resolution.

Side effects

• Local burning or stinging sensation.
• Irritation of the ear canal.
• Hypersensitivity reactions (rare).

Precautions

• For otic use only — do not use in the eye.
• Do not use if eardrum is perforated without medical advice.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
• Discard unused drops after completion of treatment.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
