Konimag Antacid 600mg, 600mg, 160mg

Indication

Konimag Antacid is used to relieve symptoms of acid indigestion, heartburn, gastric hyperacidity, and flatulence. The combination of aluminium and magnesium hydroxides neutralises stomach acid, while simethicone reduces gas.

Ingredients

• Aluminium hydroxide 600 mg
• Magnesium hydroxide 600 mg
• Simethicone 160 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets chewed or swallowed 20–60 minutes after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing.

Side effects

• Constipation or diarrhoea.
• Nausea.
• Electrolyte imbalances with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Avoid in patients with severe renal impairment.
• May interfere with absorption of other oral medications — take other drugs at least 2 hours apart.
• Prolonged use may cause hypophosphataemia (aluminium) or hypermagnesaemia (magnesium) in susceptible patients.
• Keep out of reach of children.
