Indication

SaRa Paracetamol Suspension 120 mg/5 mL is an analgesic and antipyretic used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever in infants and young children. Indicated for teething pain, earache, headache, sore throat, and fever associated with colds or immunisation.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 120 mg/5 mL

Direction

Dose by age/weight. Typical paediatric dosing: Children 3–6 months (5–7 kg): 2.5 mL every 4–6 hours. Children 6 months–2 years: 5 mL every 4–6 hours. Children 2–4 years: 7.5 mL every 4–6 hours. Maximum 4 doses in 24 hours. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses.
• Hepatotoxicity with overdose.
• Hypersensitivity reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products — overdose risk.
• Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• Do not exceed recommended daily dose.
• Seek immediate medical help if overdose suspected.
• Keep out of reach of children.
