Gaviscon Alginate de sodium 500mg + Bicarbonate de sodium 267mg per 10mL

Indication

Gaviscon is an antacid and alginate preparation used for the symptomatic relief of gastric reflux, heartburn, and indigestion associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It forms a protective barrier over stomach contents to prevent acid reflux.

Ingredients

• Sodium Alginate 500 mg
• Sodium Bicarbonate 267 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 10–20 mL (liquid) or 2–4 tablets after meals and at bedtime as needed. Shake well before use if liquid. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Occasional nausea.
• Bloating or flatulence.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Contains sodium
• use with caution in patients on a low
• sodium diet
• or with heart failure
• renal impairment
• or hypertension.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
