Strepsils Ambroxol HCl 15mg

Indication

Strepsils with Ambroxol HCl is used to relieve sore throat and associated symptoms. Ambroxol is a mucoactive agent that also has local anesthetic properties when used in the throat, providing symptomatic relief of sore throat and promoting mucus secretion in respiratory conditions.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol hydrochloride 15 mg per lozenge/tablet

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours, up to a maximum of 6 lozenges per day. Do not chew. Children 6–12 years: under medical supervision only.

Side effects

• Nausea

• Skin rash or allergic reactions (rare)

Precautions

• Not recommended for children under 6 years.
• If sore throat is severe
• persists for more than 2 days
• or is accompanied by high fever
• rash
• or difficulty swallowing
• consult a physician.
• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer.
• Consult a physician before use in pregnancy or during breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
