Indication

Relief of bronchospasm in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other reversible airways obstruction.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol 2mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 2–4 mg three to four times daily. Children 6–12 years: 2 mg three to four times daily. Take orally as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Tremor (especially of the hands).
• Palpitations and tachycardia.
• Headache.
• Muscle cramps.
• Hypokalemia with high doses.
• Nervousness or restlessness.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with heart disease
• hypertension
• hyperthyroidism
• or diabetes.
• May cause paradoxical bronchospasm
• discontinue immediately.
• Avoid excessive use
• tolerance and loss of effectiveness may develop.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
