Ibukin C 400 mg

Indication

For the relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, dental pain, period pain, muscle pain, backache, and for the reduction of fever. Also used for symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ingredients

• Ibuprofen 400 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 tablet (400 mg) every 6–8 hours as needed with food or milk. Maximum 3 tablets (1200 mg) per 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Common: nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea
• constipation.
• Uncommon: gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration
• headache
• dizziness.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions including rash
• urticaria
• anaphylaxis.
• Rare: serious skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome
• toxic epidermal necrolysis).
• Rare: renal impairment
• fluid retention
• elevated blood pressure.
• Very rare: hepatic dysfunction
• blood dyscrasias.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer disease or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs.
• Contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure
• severe renal impairment
• or severe hepatic impairment.
• Avoid in patients with a history of aspirin
• induced asthma or NSAID
• related bronchospasm.
• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with cardiovascular
• renal
• or hepatic conditions.
• May increase risk of cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction
• stroke) with prolonged use.
• Use with caution in patients taking anticoagulants
• corticosteroids
• or other NSAIDs.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant (avoid in third trimester) or breastfeeding.
• Take with food or milk to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
• Keep out of reach of children.
