Indication
- Major depressive disorder - Neuropathic pain management - Migraine headache prophylaxis - Nocturnal enuresis in children
Ingredients
- Amitriptyline Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally, usually as a single dose at bedtime due to its sedative effects. Dosage must be individualized by a physician.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Dry mouth (xerostomia)
- Blurred vision
- Constipation
- Weight gain
- Orthostatic hypotension
Precautions
- Increased risk of suicidal ideation
- Avoid use with MAO inhibitors
- Caution in patients with glaucoma
- Risk of heart rhythm disorders
- Do not stop medication abruptly
