Indication
Antiviral cream (Aciclovir Cream B.P.)
Ingredients
- Aciclovir 5% w/w. Preservatives: Methyl hydroxybenzoate 0.16% w/w
- Propyl hydroxybenzoate 0.08% w/w
Direction
Apply a sufficient quantity to the skin, every three hours, six times daily, for seven days. POM (Prescription Only Medicine). For External Use Only.
Side effects
- Common: nausea
- diarrhea
- headache
- skin irritation (topical). Rare: nephrotoxicity (IV)
- neurotoxicity
- thrombocytopenia
- Stevens
- Johnson syndrome.
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children. Refer package insert for dosage and other information. Approved by MOH Malaysia.
