Indication
Hyperthyroidism, thyrotoxicosis
Ingredients
- Carbimazole 5mg
Direction
For oral use. Refer package insert for dosage and other information.
Side effects
- Common: nausea
- headache
- arthralgia
- skin rash
- GI disturbance. Rare: agranulocytosis
- hepatotoxicity
- aplastic anemia
- vasculitis.
Precautions
- Regular blood count monitoring required — report sore throat
- fever
- or mouth ulcers immediately. Do not stop without medical advice. Avoid in first trimester of pregnancy if possible.
