Indication
Type 2 diabetes
Ingredients
- Empagliflozin 12.5mg + Metformin 500mg
Direction
Take twice daily with meals
Side effects
- Urinary tract infections
- genital mycotic infections
- increased urination
- hypoglycemia (when combined with insulin/sulfonylurea)
- nausea
- diarrhea. Rare: diabetic ketoacidosis.
Precautions
- Not for type 1 diabetes. Contraindicated in severe renal impairment (eGFR <30). Monitor renal function. Risk of dehydration and ketoacidosis. Discontinue before surgery.
