Indication
Treatment and prophylaxis of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes including initial and recurrent genital herpes; treatment of herpes zoster virus infection (especially acute pain); treatment of varicella infection (chickenpox) in children (over 2 years).

- Acyclovir 400mg

Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- and diarrhoea.
- Headache.
- Dizziness.
- Fatigue.
- Abdominal pain.
- Rare: reversible renal impairment with high doses.
- Very rare: neurological effects (agitation
- tremor
- confusion
- hallucinations) particularly with high doses or renal impairment.
- Hypersensitivity reactions including skin rash.
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children.
