Indication

Treatment and prophylaxis of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes including initial and recurrent genital herpes; treatment of herpes zoster virus infection (especially acute pain); treatment of varicella infection (chickenpox) in children (over 2 years).

Nausea
vomiting
and diarrhoea.
Headache.
Dizziness.
Fatigue.
Abdominal pain.
Rare: reversible renal impairment with high doses.
Very rare: neurological effects (agitation
tremor
confusion
hallucinations) particularly with high doses or renal impairment.
Hypersensitivity reactions including skin rash.

Precautions

Keep out of reach of children.
