Indication

- Acute moderate to severe pain - Renal colic and biliary colic - Acute musculoskeletal and post-operative pain - Acute exacerbations of arthritis

Ingredients

• Diclofenac sodium 75 mg/3 mL

Direction

Administered by deep intramuscular injection by a healthcare professional, usually 75 mg once daily (max two days); dose and duration as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Pain or irritation at the injection site
• Stomach pain
• nausea and indigestion
• Headache and dizziness
• Risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcer
• Fluid retention and raised blood pressure

Precautions

• Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer and severe heart
• liver or kidney failure
• Avoid in third trimester of pregnancy
• Use with caution in cardiovascular disease and in the elderly
• Use lowest effective dose for the shortest duration
