Indication
Bertram Balm Red is a traditional Thai medicated external balm used for the temporary relief of minor muscular aches, pains and stiffness, joint pain, back pain, sprains, bruises, insect bites, itching, and nasal congestion or headache when inhaled. The red formulation has a warming effect on the skin.
Ingredients
- Menthol 28 g per 100 g
- Methyl salicylate 14 g per 100 g
- Camphor 16 g per 100 g
Direction
For external use only. Apply a small amount to the affected area of skin and massage gently until absorbed, 2 to 3 times daily or as needed. For headache or nasal congestion, apply a very small amount to the temples or just below the nostrils and inhale. Wash hands after application. Do not apply to broken, irritated or sensitive skin, mucous membranes, eyes, or the area around the eyes.
Side effects
- Local skin warmth
- redness or mild burning at application site
- Contact dermatitis or irritation in sensitive individuals
- Rarely
- allergic reactions to any of the active ingredients
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not swallow
- Do not apply to open wounds
- damaged
- inflamed or irritated skin
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
- Do not apply under tight bandages
- heating pads
- or occlusive dressings
- Not recommended in children under 2 years
- use with caution in young children
- Discontinue if persistent rash or irritation occurs and consult a physician
- Keep tightly closed
- store below 30°C
- Keep out of reach of children
