Indication

Oral contraceptive for prevention of pregnancy.

Ingredients

• Desogestrel 150 mcg
• Ethinylestradiol 30 mcg

Direction

Take one tablet daily at the same time each day following the direction on the blister. 21 active tablets followed by 7 inert tablets.

Side effects

• Irregular bleeding or spotting
• especially in the first months.
• Nausea
• vomiting
• headache.
• Breast tenderness or enlargement.
• Mood changes
• decreased libido.
• Weight changes.
• Increased risk of venous thromboembolism (blood clots).
• Elevated blood pressure.
• Reduced menstrual flow or missed periods.
• Risk of arterial events (stroke
• myocardial infarction) — especially in smokers over 35.

Precautions

• Do not use in women with a history of thromboembolic disorders.
• Consult a physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
