Anaferon 3 mg

Indication

Anaferon is a Russian homeopathic/release-active preparation containing ultra-low doses of antibodies to human gamma interferon. It is registered in Russia and some CIS countries for treatment and prevention of influenza, ARVI (acute respiratory viral infections), and immune system support. Note: its clinical evidence base differs from conventional medicines.

Ingredients

• Affinity purified antibodies to human gamma interferon

Direction

Adults and children over 3 years for treatment: 1 tablet every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours (total 5 tablets on day 1), then 3 tablets daily for the following 2–5 days. For prophylaxis: 1 tablet once daily for up to 3 months. Tablets should be held in the mouth until dissolved.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Allergic reactions — rare.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient.
• Contains lactose — not suitable for patients with lactose intolerance.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
