Indication

Used for the symptomatic relief of gastro-oesophageal reflux, including heartburn, acid regurgitation, and reflux-associated symptoms during pregnancy.

Ingredients

• Sodium Alginate
• Sodium Bicarbonate

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 10–20 mL after meals and at bedtime (up to 4 times daily). Shake well before use. Do not exceed 80 mL in 24 hours. Liquid formulation should be taken after meals.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Rare: flatulence
• belching.
• High doses: hypernatremia in susceptible patients.

Precautions

• Contains sodium
• use with caution in patients on a sodium
• restricted diet (hypertension
• heart failure
• renal disease).
• Not suitable for children under 12 years without medical advice.
• Prolonged or excessive use may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks.
• Keep out of reach of children.
