Indication
Gofen 400 Clearcap (Ibuprofen 400 mg) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, toothache, menstrual pain, and musculoskeletal pain. It is also used to reduce fever and inflammation in conditions such as arthritis.

Direction
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 400 mg (1 capsule) every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 1200 mg per day for self-medication (up to 2400 mg under medical supervision). Take with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal: nausea
- dyspepsia
- abdominal pain
- diarrhea
- gastric ulcer.
- Dizziness
- headache.
- Fluid retention and edema.
- Elevated liver enzymes (rare).
- Renal impairment with prolonged use.
- Rare: cardiovascular events
- severe skin reactions
- allergic reactions.
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs.
- Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
- Use with caution in elderly patients and those with renal
- hepatic
- or cardiac impairment.
- Increased risk of cardiovascular events with long
- term use
