Mediclovir Cream 50mg/g

Indication

Acyclovir 5% topical cream is an antiviral used for the treatment of herpes simplex virus (HSV) skin infections, including cold sores (herpes labialis) and genital herpes lesions.

Ingredients

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 5 times daily (approximately every 4 hours, omitting the night-time dose) for 5 days. Begin treatment at the earliest sign of infection. Wash hands before and after use.

Side effects

• Rare: allergic contact dermatitis.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes
• mouth
• and mucous membranes.
• Do not apply to unaffected skin.
• Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to acyclovir or propylene glycol.
• Keep out of reach of children.
