Tergynan Ternidazole 200 mg / Neomycin sulfate 100 mg (65000 IU) / Nystatin 100,000 IU / Prednisolone 3 mg per vaginal tablet

Indication

Vaginal tablets for local treatment of vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms (mixed bacterial, fungal, and trichomonal infections).

Ingredients

• Ternidazole 200 mg
• Neomycin sulfate 100 mg
• Nystatin 100000 IU
• Prednisolone 3 mg

Direction

Insert one vaginal tablet intravaginally as directed by a physician. Moisten the tablet briefly before insertion.

Side effects

• Local vaginal burning
• itching
• or irritation.
• Increased vaginal discharge.
• Pelvic discomfort.
• Allergic reactions to neomycin (contact sensitisation).
• Prolonged corticosteroid (prednisolone) use may mask local infections.
• Rare: systemic absorption with prolonged use.
