Selsun 1% Selenium Sulfide / 100 mL

Indication

- Treatment of dandruff - Treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp - Treatment of tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor)

Ingredients

• Selenium sulfide 1% (1 g/100 mL)

Direction

Massage about 5-10 mL into wet scalp, leave for 2-3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly; repeat. Use twice weekly for 2 weeks, then less often as directed. For tinea versicolor apply to affected skin as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Scalp or skin irritation
• Dryness or oiliness of the scalp
• Hair discolouration or hair loss with overuse
• Burning sensation at the application site

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with eyes
• Do not apply to broken or inflamed skin
• Rinse hands and scalp well after use to avoid discolouration of hair or scalp
• Remove jewellery before use as it may discolour metals
