Ganidin 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of acute or chronic diarrhoea caused by germs sensitive to sulfaguanidine.

Ingredients

• Sulfaguanidine 500 mg per tablet

Direction

Oral route. Adults: 6 to 8 g daily (12 to 16 tablets per day). Children: 0.10 g/kg/day. Treatment duration must not exceed 10 days.

Side effects

• Skin rash and hypersensitivity reactions
• including severe cutaneous reactions.
• Gastrointestinal disturbance.
• Blood disorders with prolonged use.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with a history of sulfonamide allergy and in ulcerative colitis.
• Use only under medical supervision.
• Treatment duration should not exceed 10 days.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
