Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in adults, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin 25 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet taken by mouth once daily in the morning, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause urinary tract infections
• genital fungal infections
• increased urination and dehydration. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any effect persists or worsens.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment
• dehydration or a history of diabetic ketoacidosis. Inform your doctor of all medical conditions and medicines. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
