Indication
- Hypertension - Congestive heart failure - Left ventricular dysfunction post-myocardial infarction
Ingredients
- Carvedilol
Direction
Take orally with food to minimize the risk of orthostatic hypotension. Dosage must be individualized and adjusted slowly by a healthcare provider.
Side effects
- Dizziness and lightheadedness
- Fatigue and drowsiness
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Weight gain
Precautions
- Do not stop abruptly
- Contraindicated in bronchial asthma
- May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia
- Monitor heart rate and blood pressure
- Use caution in severe hepatic impairment
