Indication
Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. Also used to protect kidney function in diabetic patients with kidney disease.
Ingredients
- Lisinopril dihydrate USP equivalent to Lisinopril 5 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. For oral use — swallow the tablet with water, usually once daily at about the same time each day.
Side effects
- Dry persistent cough
- dizziness
- headache
- low blood pressure and raised blood potassium have been reported. Swelling of the face
- lips or throat (angioedema) is rare but requires immediate medical attention. If you experience any side effect
- consult a doctor or pharmacist. Stop use and seek medical help if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription only medicine. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Must not be used during pregnancy — tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. Use with caution in kidney impairment or renal artery stenosis
- and avoid potassium supplements unless your doctor advises. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially if breastfeeding or taking other medicines. Stop use and seek medical help if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
