Indication

- High triglyceride levels (hypertriglyceridemia) - Type IV or V hyperlipoproteinemia - Reduce risk of coronary heart disease - Elevated cholesterol in specific patients

Ingredients

Gemfibrozil

Direction

Take orally 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner. The standard dosage is 600mg twice daily.

Side effects

Abdominal pain or dyspepsia
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhea or constipation
Muscle pain or weakness
Skin rash or hives

Precautions

History of gallbladder disease
Severe kidney or liver dysfunction
Concurrent use with simvastatin or repaglinide
Monitor for signs of muscle pain
Pregnancy and lactation safety not established
