Indication
Combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy and to space births. Each 28-tablet strip has 21 yellow active tablets and 7 brown iron tablets.
Ingredients
- Levonorgestrel 0.15 mg
- Ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg
- Ferrous fumarate 75 mg (7 brown reminder tablets)
Direction
Take one tablet daily at about the same time, following the arrow direction on the strip: 21 yellow tablets first, then 7 brown tablets. Start the next strip right after the last brown tablet, without a break.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting
- Breast tenderness
- Headache
- Spotting or bleeding between periods
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any severe or persistent reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections.
- Do not use if pregnant
- or if you have a history of blood clots
- breast cancer or liver disease
- unless advised by a doctor.
- Smoking increases the risk of serious side effects
- especially over age 35.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you take.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
