Indication

Combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. Each pack contains 21 active tablets (desogestrel 150 mcg + ethinylestradiol 30 mcg) and 7 inert tablets.

Ingredients

• Desogestrel 150 mcg
• Ethinylestradiol 30 mcg
• 7 inert tablets

Direction

Take one tablet daily at about the same time, in the order shown on the blister: 21 active tablets first, then 7 inert tablets. Start the next pack right after the last inert tablet. Swallow whole with water. Read the package insert before use.

Side effects

• Nausea
• Headache
• Breast tenderness
• Irregular bleeding or spotting between periods
• Mood changes
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any severe or persistent reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections.
• Do not use if pregnant or if you have a history of blood clots
• unless advised by a doctor.
• Smoking increases the risk of serious side effects
• especially over age 35.
• Keep out of reach of children. Read the package insert carefully before use.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
