Indication

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina) due to coronary artery disease.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician; do not exceed the indicated dose. The usual adult starting dose is 5 mg once daily; the maximum dose is 10 mg once daily. Read the enclosed package insert before use.

Side effects

• Swelling of the ankles or feet (edema)
• Tiredness
• drowsiness or dizziness
• Flushing
• headache or heart palpitations
• Abdominal pain or nausea
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
• and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription drug: use only under the direction of a physician
• do not exceed the indicated dose.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Tell your doctor if you have liver disease

• severe aortic stenosis or heart failure.
