Indication
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina) due to coronary artery disease.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine Besylate USP equivalent to Amlodipine 10 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Do not exceed the indicated dose. The usual adult dose is 5 mg once daily; the maximum dose is 10 mg once daily.
Side effects
- Swelling of the ankles or feet (edema)
- Tiredness
- drowsiness or dizziness
- Flushing
- headache or heart palpitations
- Abdominal pain or nausea
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
- and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription drug: use only under the direction of a physician
