Acetab 1000 mg

Indication

Relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain, period pain and pain after minor procedures, and reduction of fever.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 1000 mg

Direction

Oral route. Adults and adolescents weighing over 50 kg: 1 tablet (1000 mg) per dose, repeated if needed at least 4-6 hours apart; do not exceed 4 tablets (4 g) in 24 hours. Follow the package leaflet or a doctor's advice.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated at recommended doses
• Rarely
• skin rash
• itching or other allergic reactions
• stop use and seek medical help
• Very rarely
• blood disorders (e.g. thrombocytopenia)
• Serious skin reactions (SJS/TEN) are very rare
• stop immediately if skin blistering or peeling occurs
• Liver damage with overdose or prolonged high doses

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to paracetamol
• Do not exceed the maximum daily dose
• overdose can cause serious liver damage
• Do not take with other medicines containing paracetamol
• Use with caution in liver or kidney impairment
• chronic alcohol use or malnutrition
• Not for children or adolescents under 50 kg because of the 1000 mg strength
• Do not use for pain longer than 10 days or fever longer than 3 days without medical advice
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children
