Bromhexil 8 mg

Indication

Mucolytic for the treatment of bronchial secretion disorders, particularly during acute bronchial conditions: acute bronchitis and acute episodes of chronic bronchopulmonary diseases.

Ingredients

• Bromhexine hydrochloride 8 mg

Direction

Oral route. Adults: 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times a day. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. Treatment should not exceed 8 to 10 days without medical advice. Read the leaflet carefully before use.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea or stomach upset
• Headache or dizziness
• Sweating
• Transient rise in liver enzymes (rare)
• Rarely
• rash or allergic reactions
• including severe skin reactions
• stop use and seek medical help
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual effect occurs

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to bromhexine or any ingredient
• Use with caution in peptic ulcer
• and in liver or kidney impairment
• Use with caution in asthma
• mucolytics may increase bronchial secretions
• Treatment should not exceed 8
• 10 days without medical advice
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines
• Keep out of reach of children
