Indication
Antihistamine for the relief of allergic conditions such as hay fever and allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, itchy watery eyes), urticaria (hives), itching, insect bite reactions and the allergic symptoms of the common cold.
Ingredients
- Chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg
Direction
Oral route. Adults: 1 tablet (4 mg) every 4–6 hours, maximum 6 tablets (24 mg) a day. Children 6–12 years: ½ tablet (2 mg) every 4–6 hours, maximum 3 tablets (12 mg) a day. Refer to the package insert or follow the doctor's advice.
Side effects
- Drowsiness or sedation
- Dizziness or impaired coordination
- Dry mouth
- nose or throat
- Blurred vision
- Constipation or difficulty passing urine
- Paradoxical excitement in children
- Rarely
- allergic reactions
- stop use and seek medical help
Precautions
- This medicine may cause drowsiness
- use caution when driving or operating machinery
- Avoid alcoholic beverages and other sedatives
- Do not use with MAO inhibitors
- Use with caution in glaucoma
- enlarged prostate/urinary retention
- epilepsy
- asthma
- liver or kidney disease
- Elderly patients are more sensitive to side effects
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
