Indication
Broad-spectrum topical antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic cream for inflammatory skin conditions with mixed bacterial and fungal infection, such as infected eczema and dermatitis, tinea (ringworm, jock itch) and candidal skin infections with itching.
Ingredients
- Ciprofloxacin (as hydrochloride USP) 0.5% w/w
- Fluocinolone acetonide USP 0.025% w/w
- Clotrimazole USP 1% w/w
Direction
For external use only. To be applied as directed by the physician: usually a thin layer on the clean, dry affected area 2-3 times daily.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- itching or irritation at the application site
- Redness
- dryness or rash
- Prolonged use may cause skin thinning (atrophy)
- striae or changes in skin colour
- Rarely
- allergic contact dermatitis
- stop use and consult a doctor
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not swallow
- Avoid contact with eyes
- mouth and other mucous membranes
- Do not use on large areas
- broken skin
- or under airtight dressings for long periods
- Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
- not for untreated viral skin infections (e.g. chickenpox
- herpes)
- Use in children
- pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a doctor's advice
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
- Keep out of reach of children
