Olesom S 15 mg / 1 mg

Indication

Mucolytic and bronchodilator syrup for cough with thick mucus associated with bronchospasm, such as in acute and chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis and other respiratory conditions with airway narrowing.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol hydrochloride BP 15 mg/5 mL
• Salbutamol (as sulphate BP) 1 mg/5 mL

Direction

Oral. Dosage as directed by the physician. Shake well before use. Read the package insert carefully before use.

Side effects

• Tremor
• nervousness or palpitations (beta
• 2 agonist effect)
• Headache or dizziness
• Nausea
• stomach upset or diarrhoea
• Rarely
• allergic reactions such as skin rash
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a serious or allergic reaction occurs

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
• Use with caution in heart disease
• irregular heartbeat
• high blood pressure
• hyperthyroidism or diabetes
• Use with caution in peptic ulcer
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Do not combine with beta
• blockers or other cough and cold medicines unless advised by a doctor
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or breathing difficulty worsens
• Keep out of the reach of children
