Indication

Beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure, angina, irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias), to prevent migraine, and to relieve physical symptoms of anxiety such as tremor and palpitations; also used for essential tremor and after a heart attack.

Ingredients

• Propranolol hydrochloride BP 10 mg

Direction

Take by mouth exactly as directed by the physician. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• Tiredness
• cold hands and feet
• slow heartbeat
• Dizziness
• sleep disturbance
• nausea
• Shortness of breath or wheezing in people with asthma
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in asthma
• very slow heartbeat
• heart block or uncontrolled heart failure.
• Do not stop suddenly
• the dose should be reduced gradually under medical supervision.
• May mask signs of low blood sugar in diabetics
• use with caution in kidney or liver disease
• pregnancy and breastfeeding.
