Indication

Emergency contraception to reduce the risk of pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure.

Ingredients

• Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg

Direction

Take 1 tablet orally as soon as possible, within 72 hours after unprotected sex. The pill is more effective if taken sooner. If vomiting occurs within 3 hours, consult a pharmacist or doctor as another tablet may be needed.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• lower abdominal pain
• headache
• dizziness
• tiredness.
• Breast tenderness and changes in timing of the next period or irregular spotting.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• For emergency use only
• not for regular contraception and not effective if already pregnant.
• Not a substitute for regular contraception and does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.
• If the next period is more than 5
• 7 days late or unusually light
• take a pregnancy test.
• Effectiveness may be reduced by enzyme
• inducing drugs (e.g.
• rifampicin
• some anticonvulsants
• St John's wort).
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
