Atenolol Denk 50 50mg

Indication

Atenolol Denk 50 is a selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker used to treat hypertension, angina pectoris, and cardiac arrhythmias, and to reduce mortality after acute myocardial infarction.

Ingredients

• Atenolol 50 mg

Direction

Adults: 50 mg once daily, taken with or without food. Dose may be increased to 100 mg daily if required. Take at the same time each day.

Side effects

• Bradycardia
• fatigue — common.
• Cold hands and feet — common.
• Dizziness
• depression — uncommon.
• Bronchospasm — uncommon in susceptible patients.
• Vivid dreams
• sleep disturbances — uncommon.

Precautions

• Do not stop suddenly — taper gradually.
• Contraindicated in cardiogenic shock
• second/third
• degree AV block
• severe bradycardia
• and uncontrolled heart failure.
• Use with caution in asthma and COPD.
• May mask hypoglycaemia in diabetics.
• Dose adjustment required in renal impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
