ZOPAN-40 Pantoprazole 40mg

Indication

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and eradication of Helicobacter pylori (in combination therapy). Prevention of NSAID-induced gastrointestinal ulcers.

Ingredients

• Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate 40mg (as delayed
• release tablets)

Direction

Adults: 40mg once daily before a meal (usually in the morning). For H. pylori eradication, taken as part of triple therapy for 7–14 days. Swallow tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

Side effects

• Headache
• diarrhoea
• nausea.
• Abdominal pain
• flatulence.
• Rare: hypomagnesaemia (long
• term use)
• C. difficile infection.

Precautions

• Long
• term use may increase risk of hypomagnesaemia
• vitamin B12 deficiency
• and bone fractures.
• Not recommended for use in children under 12 years.
• Consult a doctor before use if you have severe liver disease.
• Swallow tablets whole.
• Keep out of reach of children.
