Indication
Adjunctive therapy to diet for reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed hyperlipidemia
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin 20mg
- Ezetimibe 10mg
Direction
Adults: 1 tablet once daily, with or without food, at any time of day. Swallow whole. Continue dietary modifications.
Side effects
- Headache
- myalgia
- nasopharyngitis
- diarrhea
- arthralgia. Serious: rhabdomyolysis
- hepatotoxicity
- muscle pain/weakness
Precautions
- Monitor liver function tests. Report unexplained muscle pain or weakness immediately. Contraindicated in active liver disease and pregnancy/lactation. Avoid grapefruit juice.
