Duphaston 10 mg

Indication

Synthetic progestogen used for the treatment of dysmenorrhoea, endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycles, secondary amenorrhoea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, threatened or recurrent miscarriage due to luteal deficiency, and as the progestogen component of hormone replacement therapy.

Direction

Take orally as directed by your physician. The dose and duration depend on the indication. Swallow the film-coated tablet with water.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• migraine
• breast tenderness
• breakthrough bleeding
• nausea
• or skin reactions. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist
• and seek urgent care for severe allergic reaction or signs of a blood clot.

Precautions

• Do not use if you have a history of progestogen
• dependent tumours
• severe liver disease
• unexplained vaginal bleeding
• or known allergy to dydrogesterone. Inform your doctor of pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• or other medication. Stop and consult a doctor if irritation
• allergy
• or unusual symptoms occur.
