Zyrtec 1 mg/mL (0.1%)

Indication

Relief of nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis and relief of urticaria symptoms.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine dihydrochloride 1 mg/mL

Direction

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 10 mL once daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL twice daily. Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mL twice daily. Swallow the solution as supplied; renal impairment may require a lower dose determined by a clinician.

Side effects

• Common effects can include sleepiness
• fatigue
• dizziness
• headache
• dry mouth
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• or abdominal pain.
• Stop and seek medical care for swelling
• breathing difficulty
• severe rash
• or another serious allergic reaction.

Precautions

• Do not use in severe kidney disease requiring dialysis
• ask a clinician about dose adjustment for renal impairment.
• Ask a clinician before use if you have epilepsy
• risk of convulsions
• or difficulty passing urine
• avoid alcohol and use caution if drowsy.
