EfferalganMed 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever, such as headache, flu-like states, toothache, aches and pains, painful periods and painful flare-ups of osteoarthritis.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg per effervescent scored tablet

Direction

Oral use. Let the tablet dissolve completely in a glass of water (it may be broken in half if needed); do not swallow or chew the tablets. Adults and children from 50 kg (about 15 years): 1 to 2 tablets per dose, at least 4 hours apart, not more than 6 tablets per day without medical advice. Children 27 to 49 kg (about 8 to 15 years): 1 tablet per dose. Children 13 to 26 kg (about 2 to 7 years): half a tablet per dose. For children, consult the leaflet.

Side effects

• Rarely
• allergic skin reactions such as rash or hives
• Very rarely
• changes in blood counts
• Liver damage in case of overdose
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
• and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Overdose = danger: exceeding the dose can destroy the liver.
• Do not take another medicine containing paracetamol at the same time.
• High sodium content
• contains sodium benzoate (E211) and sorbitol (E420). Take into account for low
• salt diets.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Consult a doctor if pain lasts more than 5 days or fever more than 3 days.
