Indication
Mild anti-inflammatory corticosteroid skin cream for the relief of inflammation and itching in steroid-responsive skin conditions such as eczema, contact and allergic dermatitis, insect bites and mild skin irritation.
Ingredients
- Hydrocortisone acetate USP 1% w/w
Direction
For external use only. Apply the cream sparingly over the affected area 1-2 times daily, or as directed by the physician. Puncture the nozzle seal with the piercing point of the cap.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- itching or irritation at the application site
- Redness
- dryness or rash
- Prolonged use may cause skin thinning (atrophy)
- striae or changes in skin colour
- Rarely
- allergic contact dermatitis
- stop use and consult a doctor
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not swallow
- Avoid contact with eyes
- mouth and other mucous membranes
- Do not use on large areas
- broken skin
- or under airtight dressings for long periods
- Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
- not for untreated viral skin infections (e.g. chickenpox
- herpes)
- Use in children
- pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a doctor's advice
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
- Keep out of reach of children
